Getting Closer

With a little more practice I'll have this crawling thing down. And then watch out world! Here I come! Already, my limited crawling skills have enabled me access to some cool new things. So far I've figured out how to push the buttons on the DVD player, pull the magazines off of the bottom shelf of the coffee table and sneak up on the unsuspecting Galileo!

I really enjoyed hanging out with my cousin, Aleczander, over Thanksgiving. We discussed the coolness of balls and he let me play with some of his trucks. I have to get some of those (hint, hint Santa).

Trip to Missouri

Missouri is a long way from our house! We had to drive and fly on two planes and drive again before we got to Aunt Ruth and Uncle Gary's house. It was a really long day. But I was good, because I knew Mommy didn't have anyone but me to help her on the trip. There was a ton of new things and people to look at which made me happy. I love to see new thing things. And everyone loved me and thought I was the greatest thing ever. I smiled a lot. I like to meet new people.

Speaking of new people, I met my newest cousin, Grant. He's pretty cool. He sleeps a lot though. I think we'll have a lot of fun when he's just a little older. Grant's big sister, Morgan was a lot of fun. She made faces and danced for me. She can be really funny and made me laugh.

I also got to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Harris while I was in Missouri. It was great to see them again. Grandpa sang to me and bounced me on his knee. Grandma spoils me and I love her for it! She got me some cool new toys. The puppy dog she gave me sings and we talk to each other. It's nice to have a friend my size.

Grandma also got me this cool ring stacking toy. I don't have it figured out yet, but I'm working on it. It lights up and plays music when I take off the colored rings, so that's gotta have something to do with it.

Both the puppy dog and rings are great because I can sit up and play with them. Did I forget to tell you that I can sit up now?! I fall over every once in awhile, but I do pretty well. Mommy is bit overprotective and surrounds me with pillows and blankets when I'm on sitting on a hard floor. At least it makes for a soft landing when I topple over. I still don't know quite how far I can reach for a toy and still stay sitting up. I'm getting better at sitting everyday now!
